For a couple months now, my friend Abbey’s boyfriend, Joseph, has been planning a surprise party for her birthday on September 7th. Even though we were going to be driving through Chicago and seeing her less than a week before, I didn’t want to miss the party so I took the opportunity in between packing and preparing for our trip to head back to the Midwest for the weekend. Abbey had no idea anything was going on and I’m so happy I was able to help out, spend some more time with her and her family, and meet all of her great friends.
It was the perfect party and a perfect weekend spent in the city, once again!
